What did the government estimate maintenance and tires cost per mile?

The federal estimate of the cost of owning a car put maintenance at 5.3 cents a mile (about $795 for 15,000 miles) and tires at 1.0 cent in 2015, out of 57.1 cents a mile in all, up from 14.4 cents in 1975 (BTS, national, current dollars).
